Materials: Go-to-market strategy

We helped our client design the go-to-market strategy for Refiber, a new acoustic material made from 90% recycled content and cutting GHG emissions by 75% compared to conventional solutions. Our study assessed its potential across six European countries, with a focus on Sweden, the Netherlands, and Finland.

We identified the key purchasing criteria — acoustic performance, price, and fire safety — while highlighting how sustainability and brand image are gaining importance. Based on our analysis, Refiber could generate up to €1M in additional margin and should be rolled out progressively, starting with pilot customers in the tertiary sector.

Facilities: Indian hotel industry

We helped our client analyze the dynamics of the branded hotel industry in India.

Through market sizing and growth analysis, we showed that while luxury and mid-market segments dominate, the mid-market was expanding fastest, driven by middle-class demand.

We assessed business models, highlighting the shift towards asset-light approaches (management contracts, franchises). Our recommendations supported the client in identifying where and how to best capture value in this fragmented and fast-growing sector.

Engineering: Impact assessment of BIM

We advised our client on assessing global BIM (Building Information Modelling) adoption and its implications for their business. By analyzing key markets (UK, Scandinavia, China, and others) and reviewing government mandates and industry initiatives, we highlighted where adoption was fastest and why.

Our work identified opportunities for the client to move beyond compliance and efficiency, to instead use BIM as a lever to build closer client relationships and influence standards-setting in growth markets.

Facilities: Hotel market in China

We supported an in-depth analysis of China’s rapidly expanding hotel industry, which grew nearly forty-fold in a decade. Our work combined expert interviews, large-scale surveys of over 1,000 hotel visitors, and hotel-level assessments to map market dynamics across segments (economy, mid-scale, high-end).

We identified key growth drivers such as rising middle-class demand, infrastructure expansion, and the growing role of online travel platforms. A deep dive into green hotels highlighted regulatory frameworks, consumer expectations for sustainability, and pioneering practices by leading hotel groups.

Engineering: IoT innovation scoping

We supported our client in exploring the disruptive potential of IoT (Internet of Things) for the construction sector, focusing on passive products.

By conducting 13+ expert interviews and benchmarking case studies, we identified ~15 high-potential use cases (flooring, glass, roofing, ceilings) and emerging business models such as predictive maintenance and shared-benefit schemes.

Our work helped the client understand challenges around data ownership, security, and standards, and define strategic options to capture new revenue pools.
